About FranA University of Waterloo graduate, Fran gained national attention in her twenties and thirties as the well-loved host and writer of the popular CTV Television Network's series for children, "Romper Room". As the series' chief writer, Fran wrote over 1,400 scripts for in-studio production, as well as scripts for on-location videos and TV commercials.
In 1993, Fran brought her respected skill set and expertise to her own communications company, PAPPERT PRODUCTIONS. For the next eight years, Fran wrote influential marketing and communications documents for commercial, educational and philanthropic organizations. Fran was hired by United Way of KW and Area in 2001 as their Communications Officer, and in the years that followed, Fran served in managerial communications positions for the Community Care Access Centre of Waterloo Region, the Region of Waterloo and the HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre. |
Since launching FRAN PAPPERT PROOFREADING, Fran has assisted academic and business clients with their editing needs, showing particular empathy and expertise when working with clients for whom English is a second language. Always seeking to update her dynamic skills, Fran is a member of Editors/Reviseurs Canada and the Editors' Association of the Earth.
